Fall River, MA - Senior Cashton Richard was named Athlete of the Year for a second time. The Mayflower Athletic Conference All-Star opened up his cross country career with three first overall finishes in dual meets. His best time during the season was 17:45. Richard finished fourth in the Mayflower Athletic Conference meet. 
 

The Diman athlete ran in The Officer Thomas Guinta Memorial 5K, placing first overall.

"For a cross country runner to come out for the first time and make the impact that he did is truly remarkable," Bengals head coach Aaron Soares said. "Coming from a football background and being a decorated track athlete, we knew he was talented, but his willingness and toughness to outwork others was unmatched. He's the type of athlete who is willing to run through a wall for his teammates. We were incredibly lucky to have him on our team this year."
